Our Vision.

The Bayou Vista Vol. Fire Department has one vision in mind, and that is to serve and protect the residence and businesses of Bayou Vista from Life Threatening Emergencies including Fire, Medical, and Even Environmental Emergencies such as Hurricanes and Flooding.

 

Each Bayou Vista Firefighter has undergone several man hours in training alone to provide the most excellent protection of life. Ranging from Medical Training to Fire Suppression.

Becoming a Firefighter

Becoming a Firefighter for the Bayou Vista Vol Fire Department is not just putting in the application and saying I want to be a firefighter. Being a firefighter is tough, not only physically, but mentally as you undergo many man hours training.

 

Now you ask yourself "Am I going into this blind?" and the answer to that is no. We offer in house training at our fire station instructed by LSU FETI Certified Instructors and in house Fire Training Officers.  See "About Us" For more information
